Evaluation and Monitoring.

The organisation endeavours to be sensitive to the needs of users and of potential users and is aware that many of the activities provided are in the pilot stage of development.

Invaluable information is gained from listening to users and frontline workers, this is used to plan new work and influence policy in the fields of community development and health, both locally and nationally.

A number of different methods are used to identify successes and learning points, including annual surveys, community conferences, questionnaires, regular user group meetings, staff meetings, monitoring the number of people (including their health problems) using the services and confidential discussions.

Our organisational structure has built-in accountability to the paid managers, to the Trustees, to the funding bodies and to the wider learning environment in the voluntary sector, the health service and local government.

For much of the work the funding bodies require quarterly monitoring reports. We are constantly working at developing performance indicators, which reflect the qualitative as well as the quantitative outcomes of a holistic approach to addressing health inequalities.

For monitoring details on particular aspects of our work, eg, use of the Fitness Suite, or HealthWORKS, please contact the Finance and Monitoring Officer.
